Our Story: Born from Passion & Decades on the Water

SouthernLoops was born from a lifelong passion that evolved into a way of life. For more than twenty years, we traveled fishing iconic waters and hiring fly fishing guide services as clients ourselves. Combined with six years of guiding for major fly fishing outfitters across Patagonia, this unique dual perspective gave us a deep understanding of what anglers truly need—and how valuable your time is to be wasted on the wrong destination.

That experience inspired us in 2014 to found SouthernLoops in our hometown of San Martín de los Andes. We set out to offer a different kind of travel company: one that pairs world-class trout fishing on Northern Patagonia’s most renowned waters with authentic local culture, personal attention, and genuine hospitality.
