General Schedule and Lodging description.

The program implies 6 fully guided fly fishing days (a 2 days float trip with 1 riverside camp overnight + 2 days fishing at Limay River Ranch Lodge and 2 days at Collón Cura Lodge).

Town Lodging in San Martín de los Andes at the Check in will be at Le Village (***) hotel or similar –Shared rooms with breakfast included-.  Single rooms, as well as town hotel upgrade, could also be arranged if needed. Welcome dinner is included at SouthernLoops’ Family House.

Usually on the arrival day, and before dinner, a free visit to Colección Georg Art Gallery could be arranged for those who might be interested.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: San Martín de los Andes – Chapelco CPC airport arrival. Meet and greet with SouthernLoops representative. Transfer to San Martín de los Andes down town. Check in at Le Village Hotel (or Similar). Welcome dinner –Included– at SoutherLoops’ Family house.

Day 2: We pick up our guests form their lodging, by 8 am. We head to the Chimehuín River for a 2 days float trip with 1 riverside camp overnight.

By 7 pm we will be arriving to the campsite. Time for a rest and to enjoy a great starter of locally smoked cheese and meet with a great Argentine Malbec. Dinner at camp. Our usual menu is a great Patagonic Lamb cooked at the cross or other typical Argentine meal cooked by the fire. Please check out SouthernLoops riverside camp accomodations.

Day 3: We’ll have breakfast at the camp by 8.00 am. Around 9.30 am we will start our second fishing day on the Chimehuín River.

By 4.30 pm we will reach the river take out. Transfer to Limay River Ranch Lodge. Night spent at the lodge –all inclusive service provided–

Day 4: After having breakfast at the lodge, we will face to one of the many private access this lodge has to offer. After fishing all the day on the Limay Medio River, we get back to the lodge to enjoy a relaxing shower and an amazing Dinner.

Day 5: After having breakfast at the lodge, we will face to a different stretch this lodge has to offer. After fishing another day on the Limay Medio River, we will get the take out and face to Lower Collón Cura Lodge. Night spent at Collón Cura Lodge.

Day 6: We will enjoy the Breakfast at Collón Cura Lodge. By 9.30 we will face one of the three different stretches this river has to offer inside this lodge. We will drive in between 20 / 40 minutes mainly over paved roads and by 10.30 we will be on the water. By 6 pm we will be in the take out to face our way back to the lodge looking for a hot shower and a great dinner. Night spent at the lodge.

Day 7: Last Fishing day at Collón cura Lodge. We will fish a different stretch of the Lower Collón Cura for the whole day and we will spend the night at the lodge too.

Day 8: Departure day. Transfer to Chapelco CPC.

PROGRAM INCLUDES
  • In-out Ground Shuttle to/from San Martín de los Andes (Chapelco Airport – CPC).
  • 1 nights lodging at Le Village Hotel (Double Rooms). Breakfast included.
  • 1 riverside camp overnight. All inclusive service w/cargo raft and camp staff & gear.
  • 2 nights spent at Limay River Lodge (Double Rooms).
  • 3 nights spent at Collón Cura Lodge (Double Rooms).
  • Welcome dinner.
  • 6 fully guided fly fishing days (Shared guide and boat).
  • Free ground transportation from/to lodging to/from the river –One (1) 4WD truck per two (2) anglers–.
  • Non-alcoholic drinks and beer –usually 3 cans/pax- during each fishing day.
  • Full shore lunch each fishing day. 1 wine bottle include per 2 anglers.
  • Weekly Fishing license.
PROGRAM DOES NOT INCLUDE
  • Accommodations and shuttles in Buenos Aires (We will put each of our guests in direct contact with Trinidad Goyeneche –Traveldreamers Ar– who is our BA logistics partner that usually takes care of our clients arrival and departure to/from Argentina and will also suggest some interesting activities in BA for those who might be interested).
  • International and domestic airfare.
  • Fishing gear.
  • Gratuities for guides and staff (We strongly encourage to tip guides and staff if you feel they did a good job during your stay with them.)
